Feed-in-Tariff comprehensive review update
The Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) has today published three documents relating to the Feed-in-Tariff Comprehensive Review.
To summarise the announcement:
Phase 2 of the consultation has now been launched, proposing changes relating to technologies other than Solar PV (Wind, Hydro, Anaerobic Digestion and micro-CHP) addressing scheme administration issues as well as introducing a digression mechanism for each. The consultation will be open for 12 weeks from 9th February and will close on 26th April.
It also proposes tariff guarantees for Wind, Anaerobic Digestion and Hydro projects, so that those technologies can have greater certainty about the rates of return they will receive.
With continued un-certainty over the Solar PV tariff, Greenspan firmly believe that the opportunity for our Customers still lies with Wind, Hydro, Anaerobic Digestion and Biomass.
Proposed tariffs from October 2012
