Greenspan offering guidance to communities developing wind turbines on FCS land
The Greenspan Agency is offering guidance to communities wishing to develop renewable energy schemes on FCS land.
Forestry Commission Scotland is working with a number of energy developers to build wind and hydro projects on national forest land. Part of this programme ensures that communities can benefit from wind or hydro developments.
One of the opportunities for communities is to develop community owned wind turbines. This is open for application until 31 January 2013.
The Greenspan Agency can assist communities in this process with our broad experience of wind turbine developments. Our experience includes planning, building and operating our own wind turbines as well as on behalf of clients.
Guidance documents from FCS can be downloaded from the links below.
