Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) update
On 4 December, the Department of Energy and Climate Change reponded to previous consulations’ on improving the Non-Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) scheme.
The table below sets out the levels of support that will be implemented on 1 April 2014 (subject to state aid approval).
Key improvements include:
- Support for medium and large scale biogas
- Increased support for large biomass
Greenspan see this announcement as positive news for the renewables sector, giving the support required to kick start development.
