Biomass
A biomass boiler burns fuel derived from woody plants such as trees, sawmill by-products and wood waste. Burning biomass fuel produces heat which can be used for:
- Heating
- Hot Water
- Steam
- Combined Heat and Power
- Heat, Power and Cooling
Sustainable
Trees and crops can be replanted to replace what has been used. Generally regarded as an environmentally sustainable fuel source when it is derived from sustainably managed forests, such as those in the UK.
Carbon Neutral
The CO2 released when burning biomass is offset by the CO2 absorbed while it grows.
